Q & A with Hekki Kovalainen
After months of speculation, Finish driver Hekki Kovalinen has signed a long term deal with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes formula one team. The 26 year old will replace the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who left the team after just a year with the Woking based team. Hekki took place in a question and answer session, shortly after been signed as McLarens new driver.

Hekki Joins McLaren in 2008
The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is pleased to confirm that Finn Heikki Kovalainen will team up with Formula 1 World Championship runner-up Lewis Hamilton for the 2008 season. Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa will remain the third driver and an integral part of the team, whilst Gary Paffett will assist Pedro with the testing programme when required.

Hulkenberg signed as Test Driver
he AT&T Williams team today confirmed that the twenty year old driver, Nico Hülkenberg from Emmerich in Germany, has been contracted as the team’s official test driver for the forthcoming 2008 season. Hulkenberg, who tested for the team last week in Jerez, made a positive impression and conducted himself with maturity and as such the Williams team has awarded him with the Test Driver role.

Not long to wait
The new owner of the much-contested second Force India race seat will be confimed by the end of this month, Vijay Mallya told the official Formula 1 website. Insisting that the team is not interested in any pay drivers, the Indian billionaire describes the impending decision as difficult. The recent winter tests have seen some very high profile names testing for the team.
